1. Mining :

Journey of water washed Chinaclay (Kaolin) is start from mines. Raw China clay (Kaolin) is extracted from Chinaclay (Kaolin) mines & transported to the water wash plant facility.

2. Blunging :

Raw China clay (Kaolin) is mixed with water to create milk-shake-like slurry. Slurry is simply the water and dispersed clay mixture, which puts the clay particles in suspension.

3. De – Gritting

The dispersed China clay (Kaolin) slurry is usually transported through pipelines to degritting facilities, where coarse impurities (such as quartz, sand, muscovite mica, and heavy minerals) are removed from the dispersed kaolin slurry with the help of gravity.

4. Solid-Liquid Separation :

Here 35-40% solid concentration slurry is fed in to the filter press by stroke pumps to separate water from dispersed China clay (Kaolin) slurry. Here due to stickiness of the clay pressure is maintaining up to 8 kg/cm2. After formation of clay cake the moisture content varies from 23-25%.

5. Filtering and Brightness enhancement:

With both the fine and coarse China clay (Kaolin) particle fractions, brightness is enhanced through one or more processes which will remove iron, titanium, organic, and other undesirable elements.

6. Drying:

Wet cake of China clay (Kaolin) having 23-25 % moisture is dried with the help of natural resource. Generally sunlight & wind are used for the same. Here moisture of dried China clay (Kaolin) cake is maintained 5-6 %.

7. Powdering or Loose packing:

Dried China clay (Kaolin) material is now ready for packing, powdering or loose dispatch as per customer’s requirement. Here size of China clay (Kaolin) lumps material is maintained 4-5 inch.
